I'm Mat Miller, a freelance illustrator and commercial artist with over 14 years of experience creating bold, characterful artwork for brands, publishers and creative teams. Specialising in surreal creatures, intricate organic forms and imaginative worlds, I bring a distinctive visual approach to projects across a wide range of industries.

My work draws inspiration from mythology, folklore, science fiction and the natural world. I'm fascinated by animals, strange creatures, surreal characters and otherworldly environments, creating richly detailed imagery that feels like a glimpse into a much bigger world, full of character, atmosphere and hidden stories.

My visual style combines vibrant neon colours with muted, earthy and pastel tones, alongside organic shapes, intricate details and layered textures. Although I work digitally, I incorporate handmade marks and painterly elements into my process, bringing a tactile, distinctive quality to each piece.

Over the years, I've worked across a range of industries, including publishing, gaming, music, apparel, action sports, food and beverage, and advertising. My collaborations include Team Liquid × Rainbow Six Siege, Dusters California, Moment Skis, Collective Arts Brewing, Appleton Estate, Electric Forest Festival, Pangeaseed Foundation, Saatchi & Saatchi Health and Affinity, among others.
